Stop Letting OEM Backorders Kill Your Production
There’s nothing worse than watching your line sit idle because some OEM glass part is “out of stock.” Every hour that machine isn’t humming is money leaking out of your pocket. That’s where we come in. We can get custom infrared heating assemblies built and shipped to you in 7 days. No endless waiting. Just parts that work.
Why gold?
You’ve probably seen aluminum reflectors. They’re fine, but they soak up and scatter too much energy. It’s wasteful. We use gold-coated plates because gold is basically the gold standard for reflecting near-infrared heat. Instead of the heat soaking into your furnace chassis, it gets bounced straight onto the workpiece. You get a tighter focus, less waste, and a lot more punch.
Getting the fit right
If the geometry is off, you get cold spots. Period. Whether you’re using shortwave or medium-wave lamps, the plate has to be spot on. We machine these to exact tolerances so they just slide right in. But a quick tip:**check your mounting brackets.**If the plate is skewed by even a couple of millimeters, your focal point shifts. You’ll end up with uneven heating across your glass, and that’s a headache nobody wants.
The catch (and how to handle it)
Here’s the thing: gold reflectors create a massive amount of heat density. It’ll speed up your cycle times, which is great, but it puts a lot more stress on your lamp ends and housing. Before you swap them in, take a look at your cooling fans. Are they up to the task? If your airflow is weak, that gold plate will reflect heat right back into the quartz envelope. If that happens, your lamps are going to burn out way faster than they should. If you’ve got your drawings ready, we can handle the specs and have a finished assembly on your floor in a week. No corporate red tape. Just the gear you need to get back to work.
